Paid Graduate Student Fellowship
Opportunity at Sandia National Laboratories for paid graduate student fellowship involving unclassified work in a variety of research and development fields. The fellowships are sponsored by Universities Research Association (URA) and administered through Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE).
This program provides research experience in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics that support Sandia National Laboratories’ (SNL) Research Foundations (for information about the Research Foundations, please visit https://www.sandia.gov/research/research-foundations/; not all Research Foundations may be participating in 2023). Sandia’s mission is “To render exceptional service in the national interest” as one of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Laboratories. As a DOE National Nuclear Security Administration laboratory, Sandia has a core mission in national security that is synergistically served by science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across a broad range of disciplines in these Research Foundations.
Summer Fellows will work in close collaboration with Sandia’s technical staff members to engage in challenging research and development projects. They will also be included in meetings, events, and tours sponsored by the SNL Student Intern Program, SNL Academic Programs, and URA to support professional development and social engagement among the Fellows.
Applicants must be full-time masters or doctoral graduate students and US Persons (any United States citizen or alien admitted for permanent residence in the United States).
